California has so much to do & many hidden places to visit. Check out a few spots that will fulfill your experience on your next trip!
I. IN’ N OUT BURGER
true story: this was my first stop as soon as I landed
A trip to California is not complete until you try a burger and animal fries. I promise its worth being fat for a day.
II. LAGUNA BEACH
Laguna Beach is located in Southern California. I always imagined it to be as beautiful as it was on the show Laguna Beach. It was even better than that. The beaches have a natural landscape with crazy waves that brings surfers to the city. The shops and cafes in Laguna partake in it’s famous history.
III. CRYSTAL COVE STATE PARK
Crystal Cove State Park is located in Newport Beach. It’s no walk in the park though.. A great hike to say the least! I must say it was no doubt worth the struggle. The top of crystal cove overlooked Newport. The views were beautiful! If your looking for a lil workout while on vacay in Cali nothing is better than a good hike.
AHHHH! My freakin favorite place to be a little kid again! Haven’t had that much fun in a long time. Best rides are The Tower of Terror & The Haunted Mansion. If your visiting the park it is very pricey so it’s smart to spend a full day and visit all the parks Disneyland has to offer. Downtown Disney is fun to check out for those teenagers and adults looking for a little Disney fun too.
V. LAQUE NAIL BAR
WHERE DO I BEGIN?! First off, before you plan your visit make an appointment two months prior! No joke when I say this. I called a month prior and was told they wont be taking appointments anymore. They also told me to come in as a “walk-in” and get there before they open. I was there 30 min before it opened and people were already outside waiting in line. I ended up waiting with my friends almost 3 hours to be taken. I KNOW CRAZY RIGHT?! Whatever it was sooo worth the wait! The decor and environment inside was my favorite part of Laque I LOVED it. The style and vibes were so welcoming. The employees offered us water and wine for those of age and the nail techs were so nice and talented. They really take the time to care for your nails and do them a specific way that you want. They can honestly do anything you can imagine on your nails. I will be visiting Laque Nail Bar on every visit to California.
VI. UNIVERSAL CITY
Hands down one of the highlights on my first trip to California. I had the opportunity to see a live taping of Chelsea Lately while she was on air. It was such an amazing experience. We got to walk around Universal Studios. If you have an opportunity to see a live showing in Universal Studios GO!!
Custom Artisan Style Pizzas hand crafted with unlimited toppings. WHAAT?! The creativity of the name really stood out to me. I jus love it. The quality of the ingredients, and the courtesy of creating your own PI fulfilled my experience. IT WAS DELIC! The franchise has many locations through out California. If only they would come to PA..
VIII. GLEN IVY DAY SPA
Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa is located in Corona, CA. The resort had several pools and hot tubs along with spa treatments to enhance your skin and health. “Club Mudd” was my favorite. It was a pool of mud to rub all over your body which has many benefits to your skin. They also have an underground grotto that I really enjoyed. At the end they treated you with apples & hot tea. The rates are not bad for a full day of indulgences. It was so relaxing and enjoyable.
IX. SANTA MONICA
true story: The city is named after christian Saint Monica
My first visit to California was well spent here. Santa Monica is really the place to be in my opinion. So much to do even for teenagers, kids, and adults visiting. It’s famous for its Pier, Santa Monica Pier. Oh yeah & SHOP SHOP SHOP! The city is known for its shopping it has three main shopping districts, Montana Avenue on the north side of the city, the Downtown District in the city’s core, and Main Street on the south end of the city. Each of these districts has its own unique environment. So much to do, so much to see.
X. HOLLYWOOD HIKE
Truly a hike that I will never forget. The Hollywood Hike has many different trails that you can choose to take. We decided to take the hardest trail. HA IT WAS REAL! The views at the top overlooked Hollywood. This is a hike you must do to truly fulfill a California Vacation!
